Building a Hyperautomation Center of Excellence

placeholder

Evan Rosen, Senior Architect at Persistent, walks through all aspects of building a Hyperautomation CoE with Unqork, from identifying ROI-rich opportunities to establishing best practices.

During our inaugural Create conference, Evan Rosen, Senior Architect at Persistent Systems, provides a rundown of how Persistent built out a Hyperautomation Center of Excellence (CoE) with Unqork as the backbone.

Hyperautomation centers around the orchestration of people, data, and processes to enable or enhance enterprise efficiency, productivity, security, and experience—with an emphasis on hyper (read: fast). Evan defines the four pillars of hyperautomation as no-code, Business Rule Management System (BRMS) & Decision Management System (DMS), robotic process automation (RPA), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

“You want to pick a platform to backbone your [Center of Excellence] program that you can develop, deploy, and iterate on quickly,” explains Evan. “And what better option than the first no-code platform, Unqork?” This is because he believes that no-code creates a strong foundation to achieve that enhanced efficiency, productivity, security, and experience that encompasses hyperautomation.

“Their ability to turn anything we want into a microservice makes them one of the best candidates as a backbone part of your Hyperautomation COE.”

Unqork’s in-built rules tables are “more than sufficient”. If you need a complex integration, no problem. That “takes days, not weeks or months.” And according to Evan, “Their ability to turn anything we want into a microservice makes them one of the best candidates as a backbone part of your Hyperautomation COE.”

Persistent built an incredible CoE for an east coast healthcare provider, backed by Persistent Managed Services—all while delivering on a key project, a Digital Front Door for patients built on Unqork. The Digital Front Door—for patients to schedule information, manage appointments, and view and pay their bills—was just the first step. This then grew into Patient Registration at the hospital and digital eForms, both of which continue to expand with new functionality as candidates are identified. Persistent was able to start with an initial project team, and then ramped up to a 50-person hybrid team of Unqork configurators, architects, UI and UX designers, integration specialists, and more. Now, the team is adjusted to a steady state of managed services.
