Through our advocacy and programming, we have the opportunity to elevate our LGBTQ+ colleagues and support the broader community. I’m proud that we have found ways to highlight our people through empathy and excellence - from clients speaking of their careers & successes to educational seminars that bring our community together to discuss difficult topics around the safety and inclusion of LGBTQ+ individuals. Our ERSG is a part of the culture and success of Unqork.

Community is really the key word for me: we have moved the culture (and the laws!) with the unity of our community and its fearlessness. And so we reflect on that. We invest in that. We aren’t interested in complacency.

When I was looking for the next step in my career, finding an organization where I could bring my full self to work and be an out employee was a non-negotiable for me. Not only did I find that at Unqork, but now through our ERSGs there is an opportunity to create change, programming, and a sense of community that is beyond what I could have imagined. I’m so proud that I get to work for a company where I am happy in my day job and get the chance to contribute to meaningful change.

I remember being closeted early on in my career. I’m glad that I can show up as my authentic self at my workplace and not feel afraid of repercussions. Having a shared community at work helps me feel comfortable showing up more genuinely in the workplace because I know I’m not alone. I know that if something challenging were to happen, I have a group that I could talk with and that would support me.
